Your lips may be originally thin or with aging, they might look a little thinner with decreasing fat tissue and lose their fullness. In such cases, the goal is to make the lips thicker without disrupting their natural look and to make the contours more apparent. Various filling materials are used for this purpose. These materials can be grouped in two:

1)   Filling material prepared from material taken from the body of the patient.

2)   Filling materials inside special injectors prepared at the laboratories.

You can have thicker lips with the fat taken from your own body or by injecting special filling material such as Restylane into the lips. There would be bruises and swellings on your lips after this operation but usually, these would heal within 7-10 days.
